The fig and olive trees are deeply symbolic in Palestinian culture, representing resilience, identity, and connection to the land. Both trees have been cultivated in Palestine for thousands of years and play key roles in daily life, economy, and cultural traditions. The olive tree, often seen as a symbol of Palestinian endurance and peace, is central to the economy, with many families relying on olive oil production. It also embodies the Palestinian struggle against land confiscation and occupation, with olive trees often targeted during conflicts. Similarly, the fig tree, symbolizing fertility and prosperity, has ancient roots in the region and holds significant religious and cultural value. Both trees are powerful symbols of Palestinian heritage, linking the people to their land and history.
